Carrier reaches deal with Trump to keep jobs in Indiana

Air conditioning company Carrier announced Tuesday it reached a deal with President-elect Donald Trump to keep 1,000 jobs in Indianapolis.

Trump and Vice President-elect Mike Pence, Indiana's outgoing governor, are planning to visit the state on Thursday to formally announce the agreement along with company officials.

The terms of the agreement were not immediately available.

During his campaign run, Trump said he would keep companies like Carrier from moving jobs overseas. Carrier had planned to move jobs from Indiana to Mexico.
