Dallas billionaire Tom Dundon officially took over Thursday as majority owner of the NHL's Carolina Hurricanes.
Dundon's purchase of a majority stake from longtime owner Peter Karmanos Jr. was announced two months ago.
Karmanos, who moved the club to North Carolina in 1997 from Hartford, Connecticut, will remain a minority owner.
