The Carl Junction Area Chamber of Commerce hired a new executive director.
The board of the Jasper County chamber selected Cavanaugh Studyvin for the role. She succeeds Ashley Butcher, who recently resigned after holding the job since February 2019.
A Carthage native, Studyvin lived in New York for nearly nine years. She worked at children's enrichment center Kidville before returning to Carl Junction earlier this year to be closer to family.
