“Key to Career Success” is a national program initiated by the U.S. Labor Department and Defense Department, and Missouri’s Workforce Development Division has agreed to participate.
More than 40 career centers across the state will work to heighten veterans’ awareness of the services available to them at the centers, including services specifically designed for those re-entering the work force.
Veterans will be issued a Key to Career Success Card and other informational materials that will refer them to nearby centers. The cards also will help center staff members immediately identify clients as veterans.
“This new program will provide them with the resources to help them find jobs and provide not only for themselves but for their families,” said Gov. Matt Blunt in a news release. “I’m pleased Missouri will be engaged in this kind of aggressive outreach and education program to ensure our veterans and transitioning military folks have access to the information they need.”
