Playoff baseball in St. Louis means big business.
The St. Louis Business Journal reports that for each game day, roughly 10,000 visitors converge on the city, spending an estimated $1.5 million to $2 million on entertainment, tickets, hotels and dining.
The Cardinals hosted games 1 and 2 at Busch Stadium against the Pittsburgh Pirates and would return Oct. 9 for game 5, if necessary.
