Car-Mart

Little Rock, Ark.-based Arka-Tex is the general contractor for Skyline Holdings LLC’s new local offices for Car-Mart, which is slated for a Nov. 1 completion. Project manager Freddy Beck said that the project comprises an 1,800-square-foot sales office space and approximately 2,400 square feet of wash bay space. Springfield firm Hood-Rich performed site engineering for the project, Beck said. “America’s Car-Mart has their own building design,” Beck said. “But Hood-Rich is the local architect that we worked with.” The estimated construction cost, according to a building permit filed with the city of Springfield, is $270,000. The wash area will have three wash bays, Beck said, and the sales office area will have seven offices and a cashier’s office.
