Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri is seeking a $500,000 grant to renovate Cape Girardeau's former police station into its new offices.
The organization wants to cut the cost of the $1 million project by way of a Community Development Block Grant.
Cape Girardeau's city council voted last month to sell the vacant building for $100,000 to Community Partnership of Southeast Missouri.
