Campbell Soup Co. reportedly may add two board spots as part of a settlement expected to be reached with hedge fund Third Point LLC.
Campbell proposed that Third Point CEO Dan Loeb pick two members to bring the board to 14 directors.
Loeb initially wanted to oust the entire 12-member board before attempting to scale it down to five.
Third Point sued Campbell over allegedly "putting the interests of billionaire, insider heirs ahead of independent shareholders.”
