The street was closed in April to allow City Utilities to replace a sanitary sewer line and other utility lines, and so that masonry work could be completed on the east side of the College Station complex, according to a city news release.
A 14-screen Hollywood Theaters is slated to open in College Station this fall. The development also includes about 80,000 square feet of additional commercial space for lease.
While Campbell Avenue was closed, workers added a slight bend in the road between Olive and College streets that will help slow traffic on the one-way street, making it more pedestrian-friendly, the release said.
The intersections of Campbell at McDaniel and Olive streets are operating on a temporary three-way basis until new traffic signals are installed. Striping and installation of new street and pedestrian lights should be finished soon, as well, according to the release.
