California Insurance Commissioner Dave Jones announced this week insurance claims from last year's wildfires have exceeded $11.8 billion.
Jones last reported $9.4 billion in commercial and residential claims near the end of 2017.
Of the latest total, almost $10 billion was filed for damages in the Wine Country wildfires.
