California voters reject Newsom recall

The majority of California voters on Tuesday rejected an attempt to recall Gov. Gavin Newsom.

Nearly 64% of voters favored keeping Newsom in office until at least 2023.

The first complaint originally focused on Newsom favoring the interest of peope in the country "illegally" but later shifted to his handling of the COVID-19 pandemic, according to NPR.
