California Attorney General Rob Bonta's office has filed suit against the genetic testing company formerly known as 23andMe.
The suit is against Chrome Holding Co., the name 23andMe rebranded under after filing for bankruptcy last March.
The lawsuit alleges the company failed to protect user data in a 2023 breach that impacted nearly 7 million people nationwide.
