Safety Council of the Ozarks will present a Safety Communications & Safety Recognition Program, 1-5 p.m. at 1111 S. Glenstone. This course addresses the need for effective communications between employer and employees to assure the support and commitment to safety and health policies, procedures and practices. OSHA Record Keeping & Principles of Office Safety will be held 8 a.m.-noon at the Safety Council office, 1111 S. Glenstone. OSHA record-keeping requirements will be discussed in detail. Participants will take a tour through the OSHA 200 log and learn what to expect from the proposed changes in the standard. The cost is $85 for council members and $100 for nonmembers. The Safety Council will also present Employee Traffic Safety & Transportation 1:30-5 p.m. This session emphasizes the basic principles of defensive driving and the importance of incorporating driver and traffic-safety training into safety programs to reduce injuries and fatalities, both on and off the job. Microsoft Office, a one-day seminar for basic and intermediate-level users of both Standard and Professional Editions of Microsoft Office, will be held at the Sheraton Hawthorn Park. The cost is $59 per person. For more information, call 800-255-6139.
