July’s First Friday Art Walk, a free, self-guided walking tour of downtown Springfield art galleries, will be held 6–10 p.m. The July 4 edition features “Art is a Blast,” as Bellwether Gallery of the Arts, Figment Gallery & Culture House and Randy Bacon Studio and Gallery pair art with free Fourth of July fare, including hot dogs, chips, soda and board games during Art Walk.

The Discovery Center presents Einstein on Ice 10 a.m.–5 p.m. to raise money for a Discovery Center permanent exhibit, Home Sweet Home in Discovery Town. The Aurora Area Chamber of Commerce presents modeling classes July 18 at Norma’s In Line Fashions in downtown Aurora. Norma Julian of Norma’s Modeling Agency and School will conduct the classes. Class for 4- to 9- year olds will be held 6--–7 p.m.. Class for 10- to 13-year olds will be 7–8 p.m., and class for those 14 and older will be held 8–9 p.m. A fashion show will be held at 6 p.m. July 19 at Norma’s In Line Fashions.
