The SMSU-Small Business Development Center will co-sponsor "How to Write a Business Plan - The Path to Success," 6-9 p.m. July 7 and 9. The fee for the six-hour class is $115 per person and $65 for the second person from the same business. To register, call Pam Pyeatt at 836-5685.

Associated Industries of Missouri will present "The ABCs of Handling Wage Garnishments and the FLSA" at the Ramada Inn I-44. Registration starts at 8 a.m. and the program runs 8:30 a.m.-noon. The cost is $85 for AIM members and $135 for nonmembers.

How to Lead a Team will be held at the University Plaza Holiday Inn, 333 John Q. Hammons Pkwy. The cost of the seminar is $149. To register, call 800-334-6780.

Associated Industries of Missouri will present a seminar on Year 2000 Liability Avoidance Are You Prepared? 8 a.m.-noon July 15 at the Ramada Inn. The program is designed to answer questions about the Y2K problem and help participants develop a compliance plan. "International Trade: Getting Started" will be held 8-11 a.m. July 16 in SMSU's Glass Hall, West Entrance. This seminar is presented by the SMSU Small Business Development Center in conjunction with The Bank and Empire Bank, and is taught by World Trade Center-St. Louis staff. Topics covered will include evaluating import/export potential, identifying market opportunities, assistance resources available, overseas export promotion and more.
