American Production & Inventory Control Society Course: Basics of Supply Chain Management, an eight-week course, is 5:30-8:30 p.m. Tuesdays through Oct. 24 at Ozarks Technical Community College's North Town Mall Center. Jim Rogers will present will present the basics of six specific APICS modules required for the certified in production and inventory management designation. The cost is $150. How to Write a Business Plan Path to Success is 6-9 p.m. today and Sept. 7 at SMSU's Glass Hall, west entrance. The fee for the course, presented by the Small Business Development Center at SMSU, is $115 per person, $65 for a second person from the same business. Advertising 101, a luncheon seminar presented by the Nixa Business Alliance of the Nixa Area Chamber of Commerce, is at noon at Empire Bank, at highways 160 and 14 in Nixa. The cost is $7, which includes lunch catered by Sugar 'N Spice. Marjorie Monserrate, national sales manager for KOAM-TV, the CBS affiliate in Joplin, is the speaker. A Quick Game, an overview of The Great Game of Business and open-book management, will be held Sept. 7 at the Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce, 202 S. John Q. Hammons Pkwy. Three sessions are offered: 7:45-11:30 a.m. including breakfast; 12:30-4:30 p.m. including lunch; and 5:30-9 p.m. including dinner. The program will be presented by Jack Stack, chief executive officer of Springfield ReManufacturing Corp., Gary Brown and Tom Samsel, the original players and founders of the game.
