An opening reception will be held 7–9 p.m. in Evangel University’s Fine Art Gallery for “The Next Generation: Contemporary Expressions of Faith.” The traveling art exhibit, to be on display at Evangel through Dec. 8, features the works of 27 artists working in several media. The exhibit celebrates the 25th anniversary of Christians in the Visual Arts, and features work that explores Judeo-Christian subjects and imagery.

Ozarks Public Television presents Friday Night TV Dinner at 6:30 p.m. at the Newberry Building in downtown Springfield. The event is a fund-raiser for children’s programming on OPT. The evening includes live and silent auctions, appetizers and wines with dinner by Bijan’s.

Ozarks Public Television presents the 19th annual Wine & Food Celebration 2–5 p.m. at the University Plaza Convention Center, 333 S. John Q. Hammons Parkway. The event features live jazz music from the John Strickler Trio, more than 100 wines from around the world and foods from more than 25 local restaurants and caterers.
