Cabela's gun sales taper off

Cabela’s demand for firearms tapered off to close 2016.

While the company had solid gun revenue early in the fourth quarter, the latter half was outpaced by strong sales that followed the San Bernardino terrorist attack in December 2015.

The election also is said to have cooled off the consumer firearms market.
