Businesses to participate in job recruitment event

The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce and the Missouri Career Center will hold a job recruitment event May 11 at the career center, 1514 S. Glenstone Ave.

The event, to be held 9-11:30 a.m., will give job seekers a chance to gain insight on the hiring process of local businesses and to speak on a face-to-face level with employers, according to a career center news release.

Representatives from the following organizations will be present:

• Animaroo.com;
• Chase;
• city of Springfield;
• City Utilities;
• CoxHealth;
• Faith Technologies;
• Gold Mountain Communications;
• Hardee’s;
• Integrity Home Care;
• Lowe’s Home Improvement;
• Mediacom;
• Oxford HealthCare;
• Ozarks Coca-Cola Dr Pepper Bottling Co.;
• Ozarks Community Hospital;
• Polar Tank;
• St. John's;
• T-Mobile;
• United Health Group; and
• Wyndham Vacations.

The event is free and open to the public, and participants are encouraged to come dressed for an interview and to bring a résumé, the release said.[[In-content Ad]]
