Roughly 200 bus drivers and monitors are in transition as St. Louis Public Schools makes a switch to a new bus vendor.
First Student announced in a state notice that the bus drivers and monitors would be laid off this summer.
California-based Zum Services Inc., which was hired by the school district in February, is expected to offer the impacted workers job opportunities.
