Burger King parent company misses quarterly expectations

Restaurant Brands International, the parent company of Burger King, Popeyes and Tim Hortons, missed expectations for its results in the first quarter.

Adjusted earnings of 75 cents per share were 3 cents below expectations.

Revenue was $2.11 billion, short of projections of $2.13 billion.
