Bumble Bee pleads guilty in $25M price-fixing case

Seafood distributor Bumble Bee Foods LLC pleaded guilty to conspiring with other companies to fix prices of canned and pouch tuna.

The company agreed to pay a minimum of $25 million. The fine could increase to $81.5 million if Bumble Bee sells.

"Companies small and large hold a great deal of the American peoples' trust and this type of unfair, greedy behavior will not be tolerated," said John Bennett, special agent in the FBI's San Francisco division.
