Bumble Bee Foods filed for Chapter 11 bankruptcy protection.
Through the bankruptcy proceedings, the tuna brand operator will sell its assets to Taiwan-based FCF Co. Ltd. for $925 million.
The bankruptcy filing comes more than two years after Bumble Bee Foods pleaded guilty to conspiring to fix the cost of canned and pouched tuna.
