Warren Buffett yesterday announced donations of $3.17 billion in Berkshire Hathaway Inc. stock.
He gave funding to the Gates Foundation, the Susan Thompson Buffett Foundation and the Howard G. Buffett, Sherwood and NoVo Foundations.
Buffett still owns about 17 percent of Berkshire.
