Posted online

A Buffalo resident had the winning ticket yesterday when KY3 and Wise Built Custom Homes announced the winner of the annual St. Jude Dream Home.

Jesse Blanton was randomly selected as the recipient of the home in the fundraiser for St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. In a clip posted to KY3, anchor Leigh Moody said the raffle for the home raised raised $1 million for the hospital.

The 205 N. Blarney Court residence in Nixa's Irish Hills Estate is valued at nearly $400,000, officials say. Austin Miller, owner of Wise Built Custom Homes, appeared on-air in the KY3 broadcast. His company is slated to complete the home in mid-August.

The St. Jude Dream Home is among residences featured annually in the Home Builders Association of Greater Springfield's Parade of Homes. The event is scheduled Sept. 18-19 and 25-26 this year, according to SpringfieldHBA.com.

The 29-year-old St. Jude Dream Home Giveaway has built more than 540 homes nationwide, raising over $455 million.
