Chip maker Broadcom Inc. is in talks to purchase analytics software developer SAS Institute Inc., people familiar with the matter told The Wall Street Journal.
The deal would value SAS at $15 billion to $20 billion.
Broadcom has a market value of nearly $200 billion.
