Broadcom beats quarterly expectations

Broadcom topped analysts' expectations for revenue and earnings in the fiscal third quarter.

Adjusted earnings per share were $3.32. Analysts were looking for $3.24 per share.

Revenue of $29.6 billion topped estimates of $29.4 billion.
