British American Tobacco to cut 2,300 jobs

The maker of Lucky Strike and Dunhill cigarettes is slashing 4% of its workforce.

British American Tobacco announced 2,300 employees around the world would be laid off by January 2020.

The world's second-largest tobacco company by sales, British American cited plans to cut expenses as it works to gain a larger foothold in the vaping industry.
