Brian Williams may get a temporary half-hour program at 11 p.m. at MSNBC, at least through Election Day.

The program would have Williams wrapping up the latest election news.

Williams lost his role as anchor of “NBC Nightly News” after he acknowledged embellishing a tale about his time covering unrest in Iraq for NBC News in 2003.
