Community Foundation of the Ozarks has promoted Brian Fogle to serve as its president when current President Gary Funk steps down July 1.
Fogle’s 30 years of banking and community service experience were cited as the reasons for his advance from executive vice president, according to a CFO news release. The leadership change was announced during a Wednesday afternoon reception at CFO headquarters, 425 E. Trafficway St.
Fogle joined CFO in September 2008. The move completes a planned transition, as Funk announced April 1 he was stepping down to serve as a senior fellow and focus on CFO’s Rural Schools Partnership program. Funk has been with the foundation since 1999 and has served as president since 2003.
“Brian’s presence in our community, his people skills and his knowledge of the nonprofit world in the Ozarks is second to none,” CFO Board Chairman Dr. Tom Prater said during the reception.
Fogle previously served as director of community development for Great Southern Bank and vice president of institutional development at Ozarks Technical Community College.
CFO has $145 million in assets and includes 41 affiliate community foundations and 350 agency partners in southern Missouri. By the end of fiscal 2010, CFO anticipates providing about $15.5 million in grants and distributions.[[In-content Ad]]
