Brent crude oil spikes the most in history

Brent crude futures, the international benchmark, spiked by as much as 19.5%, the largest intraday jump on record.

The increase followed an attack on an oil processing facility at Abqaiq and the nearby Khurais oil field in Saudi Arabia on Saturday.

President Donald Trump said he's authorizing release of oil from the Strategic Petroleum Reserve to keep the markets “well-supplied.”
