Brent Baldwin’s life is well-rounded by his service to the Springfield community and UMB bank, and by his family.

“Many young people are doing great deeds in Springfield, and I am working to do the same,” he said.

As senior vice president at UMB Bank, Baldwin said his job responsibilities include “seeking new customer relationships and making sure that existing customers are well taken care of.”

Throughout his 13-year career at UMB Bank, Baldwin has also formed meaningful relationships with co-workers and mentors. Baldwin pointed to three people in particular who have influenced him professionally.

“Over the years, Brad Weaver has been very influential as I work for him with UMB in Warrensburg and with UMB in Springfield,” Baldwin said. “More recently, the balance Ann Marie Baker shows with her career, with community involvement and with her family is something that influences me as well.

“Gil Trout has helped me with difficult business decisions,” added Baldwin. “His understanding of our bank’s perspective and his skill at dealing with customers make many tough decisions much easier.”

When he isn’t working or spending time with his wife and two children, Baldwin is devoted to serving his community.

He serves on the boards of the Good Samaritan Boys Ranch, Child Advocacy Center and United Way. He also is a member of Springfield Southeast Rotary Club, Leadership Springfield Class XVIII and Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce. He also participates in several local charitable events, including American Cancer Society Relay for Life and American Diabetes Association Walk for Life.

Baldwin said he plans to remain with UMB Bank well into the future.
