Breakfast With Champions

Posted online
James Kasprzyk, left, director of corporate insurance for McDonald’s Corp., chats with Missouri State University marketing department head Robert Luke following the Feb. 27 Breakfast With Champions. Kasprzyk, who is responsible for managing the domestic and international insurance programs for the company’s 32,000 restaurants in 120 countries, was the featured speaker at the breakfast event, sponsored by the MSU College of Business Administration’s Management Development Institute.

Kasprzyk said that quick-service restaurants are busy battling the guilty-by-association stigma following reports of rodents in stores, contaminated spinach and human fingers in food. “Our biggest risk is the risk to our brand,” Kasprzyk says. “Brand protection is key.”

Luke offered Kasprzyk an idea for a McDonald’s commercial targeting the global market.
