Brazil rejecting aid to fight Amazon fires

Brazil's leaders are rejecting some $20 million in aid to fight rainforest fires from the Group of Seven member nations.

Brazilian officials accused the G-7 of attempting to interfere in its government.

Onyx Lorenzoni, chief of staff to Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro, also pointed to French President Emmanuel Macron and the Notre Dame fire earlier this year.

"Macron cannot even avoid a predictable fire in a church that is part of the world's heritage, and he wants to give us lessons for our country?" Lorenzoni said.
