Brazil and Argentina consider common currency

Leaders from Brazil and Argentina are considering a common currency between the two countries.

Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva and Argentine leader Alberto Fernandez said the plan would create a "common South American currency that can be used for both financial and commercial flows, reducing costs operations and our external vulnerability."

Brazil reportedly is suggesting calling the currency the "sur" (south).
