Branson/Tri-Lakes News: Resort Ready

Posted online
Hollister Interchange Development Co. partners Justin Gage, James Gage and Jerry Crumpler and their development associates broke ground Feb. 29 on the site of the $250 million Wilderness in the Ozarks resort community.

HIDC will manage the entire development process, which includes a four-acre outdoor water park, a 75,000-square-foot indoor water park and 400 two-bedroom condos. Plans also call for a mix of retail, eateries and hotels including Whiskey Creek Steakhouse, Wyndham Garden Hotel, Cold Stone Creamery, Cody’s Convenience Stores, Walgreens, a multiplex cinema/bowling center, Wendy’s, Arby’s and Holiday Inn Express.

Brothers Pete and Pat Helland and Tom and Tim Lucke, founders of Wisconsin Dells, Wis.-based Wilderness Resorts, are the operations and management partners of the resort. Hollister’s Innovative Marketing Services will provide development, planning and sales of the property, and Springfield-based The Killian Group of Cos. is general contractor.

The project architect is Architectural Design Consultants Inc. of Lake Delton, Wis.

Justin Gage, a Hollister native, and his brother, James, have developed numerous projects in Branson and Hollister, including Sycamore Springs residential community, Hollister Plaza, and Gage Marina and Shoppes at the Branson Landing.
