Radisson Hotel Branson has completed more than $2 million in renovations to its hotel complex including all guest rooms and lobby, according to a news release. It added the Wildwood Bistro Restaurant and Time Out Sports Lounge. The hotel also will provide high-speed Wi-Fi at its new Coffee Connection Café.
Myer Hotels has upgraded the guest rooms of all its Branson hotel properties for 2008. The company announced it has added granite vanities with makeup mirrors, carpeting, handicap-accessible areas and higher thread-count bedding at its Comfort Inn and Best Western flags.
John Q. Hammons Hotels & Resorts’ Chateau on the Lake underwent a $600,000 renovation of its Library Lounge earlier this year. Changes included the addition of a restroom and complete remodeling of its serving bar. Vice President and General Manager Stephen Marshall said improvements in the hotel’s main dining room and the Chateau Grille are planned in early 2009.
Also, Chateau on the Lake was the second-rated Missouri property in Expedia Insiders’ Select 2008 ranking of the world’s best hotels. Chateau on the Lake was rated No. 49 with a score of 95. Expedia produces the list, www.expedia.com/insidersselect, based on traveler opinions, hotel value and Expedia hotel expert input.
Kansas City’s Argosy Casino Hotel and Spa was the top-rated Missouri property at No. 8 on the list. Other Branson properties to make it were Hilton Promenade at Branson Landing, No. 291, and Still Waters Resort, No. 619. Springfield hotel Sleep Inn-Medical District came in at No. 792.
