The city of Branson hired Mona Menezes as environmental specialist. Menezes has more than 20 years of experience in community outreach programs and grant-writing. Menezes previously was the stormwater educator for seven years in Columbia, where she initiated and delivered water quality-related programs to schools and community groups, and she created and conducted large educational workshops, field days and tours. Menezes has a bachelor's degree in parks administration/environmental studies and a master's degree in forestry, both from the University of Missouri-Columbia.

Dr. Randy Miller joined CoxHealth Center Shell Knob. Miller attended medical school at the University of Health Sciences in Kansas City and completed his residency at the University of Kansas in Wichita, Kan. He also is a diplomat of the American Board of Family Practice.

Jerry DeGraffenreid joined the board of directors at Branson Bank. DeGraffenreid has been a Shelter Insurance agent in Forsyth for more than 30 years.

Colby Hughes joined Skaggs Regional Medical Center as manager of the Health and Fitness Center. Hughes, who has a bachelor's degree in exercise science from University of Missouri-St. Louis, previously served as fitness assistant and fitness center supervisor. He is finishing certification in speed, agility and quickness through the National Exercise & Sports Trainers Association.

Kara Webb, commercial account manager with Hollister-based Connell Insurance, received the Certified Insurance Service Representative designation from the National Alliance for Insurance Education and Research Society. Certification requires five full-day courses in all areas of insurance risks and exposures, along with annual continuing education.
