Branson's Braschler Music Show set to close

Posted online
After 23 years as part of Branson’s entertainment lineup, of?cials with the Braschler Music Show have announced that they will close at the end of this month.

The show was performed at the Hamner Barber Theater, 3090 Shepherd of the Hills Expressway, where two other shows – The Hamner Barber Variety Show and Ricky Boen & Texas Mud – also performed.

Those two shows will not be affected by the end of the Braschler show.

“Although we saw a dramatic turnaround in business these past two years, and 2007 looked very good, many other factors helped determine this action,” said show owner Rex G. Weiss in a news release.

Jan Braschler, matriarch of the Braschler family, will stay on as the Hamner Barber Theater’s box of?ce manager, a position she has held since the theater was built in 1995.

There are no immediate plans to bring in a new show to ?ll the afternoon vacancy that will be left by the Braschlers, the release said.

Information about performances for the other two shows is available at www.hamnerbarber.com.
