Branson waitress receives car as tip from Cracker Barrel customers

Posted online
Forget the 20 percent rule. Gary and Roxann Tackett tip with automobiles.

At least they did for a waitress at Cracker Barrel in Branson, and their generosity has caught media attention from New York Daily News to Great Britain’s Daily Mail.

The Cracker Barrel regulars earlier this year noticed the jalopy driven by 51-year-old waitress Cindi Grady, damaged from several run-ins with deer, and they bought a 2008 Ford Fusion for $2,500 to surprise her a few weeks before Christmas.

The Tacketts’ daughter, Chelsea Todd, recorded video of the gift presentation in the Cracker Barrel parking lot and it has spread around the Internet.

"These people are simply amazing and I thank God every day that he sent these people to me," Grady wrote on Facebook.
