The Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention and Visitors Bureau is offering visitors up to $50 off show and attraction tickets, lodging, meals and retail purchases when they spend at least $20 on gas during their trip to town.
The discount originally was set to end Sept. 30, and $40 was the first minimum price set for gas purchases. Recent hikes in gas prices and positive response from travelers prompted the CVB to make modifications.
“These changes will help more people, especially our regional neighbors coming for weekend trips,” said Chamber President Ross Summers in a news release. “More than 85 percent of Branson’s visitors drive to town, and over one-third come from 300 miles or less.”
Discounts can be picked up at either of the Chamber Welcome Centers, at Highway 65 and Missouri 248, or at Highway 65 and Missouri 160. Visitors must present a valid driver’s license and receipts for gas bought within two days of their arrival. The centers’ hours are 8 a.m.–5 p.m. Monday through Saturday and 10 a.m.–4 p.m. on Sunday.
