The Hot Winter Fun Big Show also will be the first show to be held in the 2,000-seat RFD-TV Theatre in Branson. The network, owned by Omaha, Neb.-based RFD Communications Inc., purchased the former Ray Stevens Theatre on West Highway 76 earlier this year.
The theater will officially reopen in March, according to Patrick Gottsch, RFD-TV president and CEO. Gottsch stated in a news release that the theater will present family-oriented entertainment and acts such as those seen each week on RFD-TV. Live music performances and TV tapings also are planned.
RFD-TV is dedicated to serving the needs and interests of rural America and agriculture, according to its Web site, www.rfdtv.com. The channel is produced in Nashville, Tenn., and sent via satellite from Northstar Studios to all 50 states. The channel is carried by Dish Network, DirecTV and Mediacom.
The Big Show is one of several Hot Winter Fun promotions supported by the Branson/Lakes Area Chamber of Commerce and Convention & Visitors Bureau, the city of Branson and area businesses and community members. Tickets for the Big Show can be purchased by calling the Branson Tourism Center at (417) 334-4400.[[In-content Ad]]
