Branson Public Schools secured funding for 117 full-day preschool spots for the 2026-27 year through a state grant, the district announced July 13.
The district has been awarded the Missouri Quality Pre-Kindergarten Grant by the Missouri Department of Elementary and Secondary Education for a fifth consecutive year.
This marks the third year the grant has fully funded tuition for all eligible 4-year-old students to attend without a cost, regardless of household income levels, according to the district.
“We are honored to once again receive the Missouri Quality Pre-K Grant,” said Staci Ray, director of early childhood, in a news release. “This funding allows us to continue providing exceptional early learning opportunities for our youngest students while making preschool more accessible for families.”
The district served roughly 200 preschool students during the 2025-26 year, including 120 children who were age 4.
Students eligible for the spots must live within the district, turn age 4 before July 31, 2026, and complete a free developmental screening through the Branson Parents As Teachers program.
Parents who want to sign up can fill out a form at Branson.k12.mo.us. Space is limited.
