Branson Scenic Railway carries millionth passenger

Branson Scenic Railway reached a milestone July 26 with its millionth passenger, Charles LaPorte, of Tucson, Ariz., who was vacationing in Branson with his wife, Sylvia. Below, Saul Kass, a partner in the railway venture, Conductor Donn Menzies, Sylvia and Charles LaPorte, General Manager Illa Kamp and members of the on-board train staff celebrate the milestone. During a brief ceremony, LaPorte was presented with a gift basket that included gift certificates and tickets to ride Branson Scenic Railway’s dinner train.
