Kay Gerken, co-owner of Gerken & Associates Realtors in Branson, was named 2008 Realtor of the Year at the Missouri Association of Realtors Business Conference, Sept. 24–26.
In her 29 years in real estate, Gerken has served the state association as state director, district vice president and as an elected member of the executive committee; she was elected Missouri Association of Realtors treasurer in 2002 and president in 2004. Gerken serves on MAR’s Economic Development Council.
On the local level, she received the Tri Lakes Board of Realtors’ Realtor of the Year Award in 1992. She currently serves as an orientation instructor, chair of the Leadership Academy Task Force, and a member of the education and legislative committees.
Kay has recently added the professional designations of a Realtors Institute graduate (GRI) and certified real estate brokerage manager (CRB).
Another Gerken & Associates staff member was recently recognized. Office Administrator Carol Turpin was named Volunteer of the Month by the Hollister Chamber of Commerce. She earned the recognition for hours spent contacting membership for fair share amounts.
