Project description: The city of Branson bought the 65,000-square-foot former White House Theatre for $2.5 million and is now completing a renovation to house its Police Department in 42,360 square feet of space, white-boxing the remainder for future use, according to city officials. The new digs will house a police force that is at 100% staffing and is elbow-to-elbow in its current quarters below City Hall. The project architect is Hoefer Welker LLC (Kansas City), and engineers are Rozell Surveying and Engineering, civil; J&S Structural Engineers PA (Overland Park, Kansas), structural; Hoefer Welker LLC, mechanical, electrical and plumbing; and PSC Inc. (Overland Park, Kansas), fire protection engineer.
