Branson Pasta House acquired for new restaurant

Posted online
The operators of two well-known Branson eateries are preparing to add a third restaurant to their list.

Branson Restaurants Inc., which operates Montana Mike's Steakhouse and McFarlain's Family Restaurant, acquired the former Pasta House restaurant on Green Mountain Drive for an undisclosed amount, the company said Wednesday.

The plan for the space: Florentina's Italian Restaurante, which is scheduled for a soft opening March 22 offering family-style dining and authentic brick-oven pizza for lunch and dinner.

"Though we have a number of chain Italian restaurants, Branson was lacking something unique and first class in the way of Italian cuisine," Branson Restaurants President Paul Rasmussen said in a news release. "The brick pizza oven will be a focal point for the restaurant and really set the tone and theme."

The restaurant will be part of the IMAX Entertainment Complex family of businesses, which includes the IMAX Theater and mall complex, McFarlain's Family Restaurant, Little Opry Theatre, Elite Cinema III, both Branson locations of Montana Mike's Steakhouse and Branson Meadows Cinema.[[In-content Ad]]
