Branson nonprofits benefit from national food drive

Posted online
Ozarks residents contributed 4,516 pounds of food to CenturyLink's second Together We Can nationwide food drive, which took in 452,585 pounds of food July 26-30.

The Monroe, La.-based broadband and telecommunications company collected food in approximately 240 locations across the 33 states it serves, according to a CenturyLink news release.

The locally collected food will benefit Branson-based nonprofits Jesus Was Homeless and Church Army.

“Gifts like this are critical to our mission of feeding families in our area,” Bryan Stallings, Jesus Was Homeless representative, said in the release.[[In-content Ad]]
