Jesus Was Homeless Inc., a 2008-founded nonprofit working to combat poverty in the Branson area, has changed its name.
The organization is now known as Elevate Branson, according to a news release.
“We want to present a new, more inclusive and broader brand for our organization,” co-founder Bryan Stallings said in the release. “We are addressing some of the most difficult issues in our area like workforce development, affordable housing and lifting families up and out of poverty for the long term.”
Beyond the name change, Elevate Branson also is planning to expand its programming to include assistance for children with special needs, affordable workforce housing and new ways of giving to those in poverty.
Elevate Branson’s services includes meal delivery, job assistance, health care resources and Gateway Branson Church, an internet campus for Austin, Texas-based Gateway Church, according to its website.
