Myer Hotels named new assistant general managers for three of its Branson properties. Dee Dee Swanson, a five-year employee of Myer Hotels with more than 20 years of management experience, was promoted at the Comfort Inn Thousand Hills. Jeff Keen took the Best Western Center Pointe Inn position after compiling more than 20 years of management experience with such companies as Servicemaster, FedEx and Manville Corp. Nicole Iverson, a College of the Ozarks graduate and previously a guest service team leader for Target in Branson, joined the Comfort Inn and Suites Branson Meadows staff.

Mike Young, project superintendent for Villas at Branson Hills, attended the Epcon Communities 2007 National Construction Conference. The two-day seminar was held in Columbus, Ohio, and covered topics including energy efficiency in warm and cold climates. Epcon Communities is a national developer and builder of single-story residential condominium communities.

The White River Valley Electric Cooperative received a $250,000 grant from the U.S. Department of Agriculture. The funding will help establish a revolving loan fund for economic development projects, aiding in the construction of a new disability services facility.[[In-content Ad]]
